COMMUNITY

Part of the North Shore community.

Capilano Builders is proud to call the North Shore home. Building great spaces is what we do—but building lasting relationships with our clients and community is what truly drives us. Over the years, we’ve formed meaningful partnerships with local charities and organizations that are close to our hearts.

Reframe Voices Society

Eating disorders are among the deadliest mental illnesses, second only to opioid addiction. Too often, children and youth suffer in silence—misunderstood, overlooked, or misdiagnosed. Since the pandemic, cases have surged, waitlists now stretch 6–12 months, and younger children are entering care than ever before.

Founded in 2025, Reframe Voices Society is a grassroots nonprofit in North Vancouver helping parents recognize and respond to early signs of eating disorders in kids and teens. Through its Beyond Body Talk program and trauma-informed resources, Reframe Voices equips families with practical tools to foster supportive, stigma-free conversations around body image, diet culture, and mental wellbeing.

Your support helps bring these life-changing resources to families in the same communities Capilano Builders serves.

A4K: Athletics 4 Kids

Since 2002, Athletics4Kids has partnered with families across BC who need financial assistance keeping their kids in sports.

Together, with the help of individual donors, companies and foundations, we have provided over $3.1 million through over 14,500 Sport4Life Grants. This has enabled thousands of kids to participate in over 55 eligible sports.

In 2025, we served kids in 37 regions across BC with a strategic focus on neighbourhoods like Surrey, Delta and Coquitlam where child poverty rates are high and access to sport is low.

Gala of Grace

The Gala of Grace is a sold-out annual Ladies’ Luncheon supporting the North Shore Crisis Services Society (NSCSS). Each year, 300 women come together to stand with those in our community fleeing domestic abuse. The event directly supports vital initiatives, including new second-stage housing at HOPE’s Place, the SAGE House library, children’s summer camps, and the Garden of Grace gazebo—built by Capilano Builders in 2019 as a donation.

The Gala of Grace brings leaders together to champion the empowerment of women and children. Everyone deserves to feel safe, strong, and hopeful for the future. Join us in helping drive real change for survivors of domestic violence.

VASS

Our President, Bryce Eyton, sits on the Board of Directors at Vancouver Adaptive Snow Sports (VASS). VASS provides inclusive snow sports programs for people with disabilities at all three Vancouver mountains—Grouse, Seymour, and Cypress. Welcoming students of all ages and abilities, they use adaptive equipment and specialized teaching techniques to maximize independence on the snow.

VASS offers programs from beginner to advanced, including snowboarding, sit-ski, stand-up skiing, and adaptive ski racing. All lessons are fully coordinated and taught by dedicated volunteers. We’re honoured to support and be part of such an incredible program.
